Admin can create users in two ways within dScribe:

  1. Manually via the admin portal and browser plugin.

  2. Automatically via .

Adding new users via Plugin

  1. Go to the top navigation bar, click on your user avatar, select "Plugin Settings" and click on the "Invite Members" button.

  2. Enter the email addresses. If you add multiple users at the same time, separate the email addresses with a comma.

  3. Select a team from the dropdown menu to assign permissions to users. The permissions will be set for all selected users.

  4. Press the "Send Invite" button, and your team members will receive an email with an invitation to join dScribe.

Checking pending invitations

You can view the user's status on the Organisation page. If the status is "pending," the user has been added but has not yet verified their account through the email invitation. Once they set up their account, their status will change to "active."

Managing user permissions

dScribe best practices: We recommend simplifying the security settings to avoid overly complex configurations and to make the metadata as accessible as possible within your organisation. This open and accessible approach can lead to greater adoption of dScribe and deliver higher value for all users.

Permissions are granted via team and access policies settings, which can be managed via the Admin portal. Learn more about
